Special structures for use in demolition
Demolition companies have special requirements for construction machinery: greater stability, greater reach, optimum visibility, maximum safety and quick and easy operation. An example such as this CASE CX300E is the best way to demonstrate that a conversion for this purpose is extremely complex and demanding.
Extensive conversion work was carried out on this excavator, with the monoblock being stretched and extended by 500 mm. A lift/tilt cab was implemented to optimize visibility. For ballasting, an additional counterweight was welded in as an intermediate plate with a weight of 2 tons, which makes the machine much more stable. In addition, a 2.5 m long additional stick was manufactured and quick couplers attached to the stick and additional stick to speed up assembly and disassembly. Both the control system for this and a lubrication system for the boom were implemented. For increased safety, the cab was fitted with a laminated safety glass roof pane incl. wiper system (for better visibility) and also a new retractable FOPS cab guard.
